For the Users who need Acrobat, I install Acrobat first, then Reader & let Reader take the Default position. You may also change your default settings from MS Edge to Acrobat Reader XI or a similar program for opening PDF files. Not trying to change your mind, but we use a similar mix of Acrobat & Reader.
